okay, I got rid of the cheesecake

After one generous helping, I trashed it. I do, however, have to admit that it had less to do with it being the right thing to do and more to do with my newly discovered dislike of Italian cheesecake.

I was surprised to see comments on my post. I'm not sure how people even get to these pages. Nevertheless, I do feel I need to address two issues raised:

Firstly, I have a lot of friends. That's part of my problem, actually. I have too many friends. Everyone wants a piece of me and I end up giving it to them instead of doing what's right for me.

Secondly, Jews for Jesus is nothing I am interested in. Ironically though, as I was reading The Nine (an excellent book about the inner workings of the US Supreme Court by Jeffrey Toobin) yesterday evening, I came across the story of Jay Sekulow. He is a jew from Brooklyn who ended up litigating Jews for Jesus and Evangelical cases in front of the Court under the guise of freedom of speech. He's basically referred to the "saviour" of the religious right in terms of modern jurisprudence. Great.

I just went to Whole Foods. Unlike my friend over at So Very Alone, I adore grocery shopping. I love getting a Jamba Juice to stroll with, grinding my own, fresh almond butter and buying tulips for my apartment that hardly anyone will see. I also love reading the New Yorker while I stand in the huge line and push the basket along the floor with my feet.

One thing I'm desperate for though, is a lover to shop with. Grocery shopping with your partner is even more fun. You play in the aisles, make fun of everyone else and buy food to cook together.

Obama won the SC primary: no shocker. Honestly though, I don't like him. The Caroline Kennedy piece today in the Times swayed me a little, but I still like Hillary. Let Barack change the nation, but I think you need a Clinton to clean up the mess first.

So - just out of interest... how many of your friends would you donate a kidney to?

Jews for Jesus is crap. It's like saying "Vegetarians for Meat Eating".

And for the lady with all the "helpful" advice: World Net Daily is bullshit. They are, after all, the ones who published an article claiming soy made kids gay. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=53327
